Jaguar XK150 DHC
Specifications
The Jaguar XK150. The successor to the XK120 and XK140. The type name referred to the top speed of the cars in miles per hour. In reality, the 150 just did not make it, but at the time was at 135 mp / h one of the fastest production cars. That disappointment also stopped, because they are beautiful cars! The 150 can be distinguished from its predecessors by its curved windshield, which, instead of a split window, consists of one whole. The grill in the nose also became slightly wider and the windshield was moved slightly backwards, making the nose look a little longer.
Our XK150 was fully utilized and bolt restored in 2002, which means the car is in absolute top condition again. The interior is a Suffolk & Turley interior and comes from MC Interiors in England. The deep black lacquer color fits beautifully with the dark walnut and white-beige interior with black trim. The hood is white-beige on the outside, but also on the inside, which gives a spacious feeling when closed.
Besides the optically beautiful condition, the necessary has been overhauled and modified to make the XK150 even more a real driver’s car. The engine (matching numbers) and Getrag five-speed gearbox have been completely overhauled. The Getrag gearbox ensures that the Jag also runs very comfortably on the highway. In addition, the Jag is equipped with an Aston Martin / Jaguar power steering, better braking (four-leg brakes at the front, XJ claws at the rear) and the electrical part has been converted to 12 volts with an alternating current alternator.
In short; an ultimate gentle man sportscar that is ready for many enjoyable kilometers!
